On the 15th of April in 2013, a massive number of people were taking part in the Boston Marathon. There were almost twenty eight thousand people participating in the game and the finish line of the race was bombed by two terrorists. Three participants were instantly killed and two hundred and eighty were injured.
The offenders were later identified as two brothers of Chechen Kyrgyzstani-American descent who had been educated in the USA. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the two brothers, settled in Massachusetts in 2002. On the day of the race, Dzhokhar and Tamerlan planted two homemade pressure cooker bombs packed with nails and ball bearings and kept them in a distance of 190 metres from each other. The second bomb was timed to go off 14 seconds after the first one.
The documentary will show archive footage relevant for the matter and there will be interesting re-enactments as well. True crime documentaries are a genre that Netflix truly shines in and fans are really excited for more such documentaries from the platform.
