“The Victims’ Game”, a Taiwanese original series has been renewed for a second season by Netflix and will premiere on the platform in 2022.The first season launched globally on Netflix on 30th April, 2020 and topped the charts in many Asian countries.
The first season of this Netflix thriller-drama followed a forensic scientist with Asperger’s syndrome, Fang Yi-jen (Joseph Chang), who puts everything at risk to solve a case involving her estranged daughter’s link to mysterious murders. He is joined by an investigative journalist Hsu Hai-yin (Ann Hsu) in his pursuit.
Netflix’s “The Victims’ Game’s” first season not just received rave reviews and ratings from viewers and critics but also went on to get nominated in eight categories at the prestigious 55th Golden Bell Awards in Taiwan. This includes best television series, best leading actor in television series and best director in a television series among others.
This new season will mark the return of the original production team led by award-winning producers, Hank Tseng and Phil Tang of Greener Grass Production as well as the directors, David Chuang and Allen Chen.
While there are many other Taiwanese series on Netflix including “Nowhere Man”, “Triad Princess” and “The Ghost Bride”; “The Victims’ Game” is the first to get a renewal for season 2.
The second season of Golden Bell Award-nominated Taiwanese series “The Victims’ Game” is set to launch exclusively on Netflix in 2022.
