And the countdown begins: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0! The Apple Original Movie, directed by Greg Berlant and featuring Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum, now has a title: ‘Fly Me to the Moon’.
A video has been released in which Johansson is seen face-timing Tatum, and they want to say that the trailer of ‘Fly Me to the Moon’ launches Monday.
Following the success of Sony’s collaboration with Apple on the movie “Napoleon,” which earned 72% of its $221 million global box office overseas, the Culver City studio secured a distribution deal to release two more of Apple’s movies: ‘Fly Me to the Moon’ and the noir film “Wolfs,” directed by Jon Watts and starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt.
Fly Me to the Moon reportedly depicts the 1960s space race and is scheduled for release on 12 July 2024. However, the storyline has not been officially announced and is still kept a secret.
Rose Gilroy wrote the script, based on a story by Bill Kirstein and Keenan Flynn. Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Lia, Keenan Flynn, and Sarah Schechter produced the project, with Robert J. Dohrmann as the executive producer. The cast members include Nick Dillenburg, Anna Garcia, Jim Rash, Noah Robbins, Colin Woodell, Christian Zuber, Donald Elise Watkins, Ray Romano, and Woody Harrelson.
