Netflix grabs a lot of streaming rights and that is one of the best things about them. As of now, their originals, especially in series have not been very impressive so far.
Also, Netflix is known for aggressively promoting whatever they come up with. But do you remember “Foot Fairy” getting promoted?
No, you don’t because they didn’t promote it.
Did it hamper the performance of the film? It might have but we can’t be sure.
Because even after absolutely zero buzzes and no acknowledgement from its streamer, Foot Fairy has earned decent views.
It is not something out of the roof but looking at the magnitude, of cast, buzz and promotion, it certainly is decent.
On the global non-English chart of films, the film was boasting the 9th position with 2,200,000 hours of views.
It is certainly not a great number of watch hour but yet again, every film is different.
Regardless, if the film really had that potential to reach the masses in zero effort then Netflix must have promoted it to the fullest. But, as you already know, it is far from reality.
Talking about India, the film was in the second position, just after The Gray Man.
