The official teaser of Francis Ford Coppola’s sci-fi extravaganza, Megalopolis, is out now. The $120 million self-funded dream project by Coppola stars Adam Driver, Nathalie Emmanuel, Giancarlo Esposito, Aubrey Plaza, Shia LaBeouf, Chloe Fineman, Jason Schwartzman, Baily Ives, James Remar, Grace Vanderwaal, Dustin Hoffman, D. B. Sweeney, Laurence Fishburne, and Job Voight.
The latest clip shows a scared Adam Driver trying to get on the cliff of a building. He tries to take a step forward but stumbles. Out of nowhere, he screams “Time, stop!”, and everything around him freezes. After truly realising his ability to control time, he snaps his finger to start time.
We don’t know much about Megalopolis’ story. But we do know that Driver and Emmanuel play a couple, who unexpectedly become a part of a revolutionary destruction of a utopian society. Driver will be seen playing an idealistic artist and architect who plans to rebuild a city that has gone from bad to worse, thanks to its corrupt and evil mayor (Esposito). Emmanuel will take on the role of the mayor’s daughter.
