Freedom At Midnight Is Getting Backlash For This Reason!

History is sensitive and, agree or not, it is subjective as well. No history can be told from one point of view, so if you are a history enthusiast, you need to be patient. As SonyLIV launches Freedom At Midnight, based on one of the most critical periods of Indian history, it’s definitely drawing some attention.

Fans are complaining that they won’t be on board with a history book written by foreign historians. They are right and wrong at the same time.

History is subjective, and sometimes there is no right or wrong. However, when it comes to foreign historians, the trend shows that they can be biased. This is why some fans are hating the upcoming series.

It is true that some major historians have fabricated Indian history to make it favorable to the British or European narrative, but Dominique Lapierre and Larry Collins don’t have the worst reputations when it comes to narrating history.

Besides that, SonyLIV doesn’t claim that it is perfectly accurate. If the fans don’t enjoy a show, it isn’t the best of shows, that’s for sure, but bashing it for the writer of a book does seem a bit over the top.

Freedom At Midnight will be releasing on SonyLIV soon, and as it looks, fans might bombard it with mediocre reviews if not bad ones.
