The ambitious venture Bharat from Bollywood Megastar Salman Khan is out now on Amazon Prime Original. It was the Eid 2019 treat from the star to his fans.
Bharat is a big-budget production that spans decades. It tracks the growth of Bharat (played by Salman Khan, obviously) and the nation. The journey is peppered with good masala moments and important incidents related to India. Katrina Kaif was the heroine opposite Salman Khan. She had garnered good reviews for her performance.
Ali Abbas Zafar who has previously made Sultan, and Tiger Zinda Hai with Salman Khan was behind the project. It was, however, not successful on the same level as those two films. They were 300 Cr Nett grossers whereas Bharat barely touched 200 Cr. It had a slow crash after the holiday period got over.
Bharat is a perfect picture for home viewing though. And if you are a fan of either Salman Khan or Katrina Kaif, it is not to be missed. More so if you are an admirer of the latter, as it is not every day that acting dominates the glamour for Katrina.
