FX and Hulu limited series ‘Class Of ’09‘ is finally gearing up arrive on Indian shores. The suspense thriller series will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar in India on 21st June, 2023. The series will air its finale episode on the same day on Hulu in the USA.
The 8-part limited series Class Of ’09 premiered on Hulu in the US on 10th May, with two episodes at premiere. The rest of the episodes are released weekly until the concluding episode on June 21. Class Of ’09 will premiere on Indian OTT more than a month later, on Disney Plus Hotstar.
The limited series is a crime and police drama set in a world affected by the increasing proliferation of Artifical Intelligence (AI) in every sphere, including the justice system. The series takes place across three distinct time periods: The Past (2009), The Present (2023) and The Future (2034), focusing on the transformation of the U.S. criminal justice system, as it is altered by the rise of artificial intelligence.
Oscar-nominated actor Brian Tyree Henry and Kata Mara play the leads in Class Of ’09. Henry plays Tayo, an unorthodox agent, and Kate Mara stars as Poet, one of the most successful undercover specialists in the FBI. The class of FBI agents, set in three distinct points in time, grapple with immense changes as the U.S. criminal justice system is altered by artificial intelligence. Spanning multiple decades and told across interweaving timelines, the series examines the nature of justice, humanity and the choices people make that ultimately define their lives and legacy.
The series has received mixed reviews until now, after three episodes have streamed on Hulu in the US. Viewers in India can watch Class Of ’09 on Disney Plus Hotstar from 21st June, 2023.
