There are very few films that can match up to the level of Gadar in terms of commercial success. The movie is a cult classic and one of the most loved films in the history of Indian cinema. Despite clashing against a film as great as Lagaan, both movies came out to be tremendously successful.
Makers decided to come up with the second part of the film after more than 22 years. The same director with the same cast of Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma is coming up to roar in the theaters on August 11.
Like the first part of the movie was set during the partition, and the second part is set during the 1971 war. Everyone knows that the 1971 war against Pakistan left a deep impact on not only India and Pakistan but also the world’s Geography.
The teaser is very vague. It is just a collection of some random shots from the film. Overall, there is no way this teaser can excite anyone.
The release date of the film is a little problematic. The makers must understand that it is 2023 and not 2001. The film may have been an extraordinary success even after the clash but things have significantly changed in these 22 years.
August 11 also marks the release date of Animal and OMG 2. They are also promising films and can severely destroy each other. The commercial success of Gadar 2 is not half as promising as the first part but we like to be hopeful.
