Yogesh Vats’ upcoming Tv series will unfold some ancient events. This show titled ‘Gadera’ will exhibit Uttarakhand and its beauty. The name comes from rainy ponds and springs in the mountainous regions, especially Himachal and Uttarakhand, that are known as ‘Gadera.’
Yogesh’s ‘Gadera’ will be based on the historical events of Kumaon and Garhwal. From the invasion of Gurkhas to the famous stories and events of the British colonial period, everything will come to you through this web series. The director feels that for years, Bollywood projects have been restricted to theatre but the introduction of OTT has led to a significant increase in competition and has opened doors for new ideas.
All mainstream Bollywood stories revolve around the tales of big cities but now, new filmmakers have the opportunity to go beyond this idea. With OTT, they can bring to the audience, stories confined to small villages, unexplored cities and other hidden gems.
The producer and other people associated with this project have revealed – keeping in view the severity of the global pandemic, all the security equipment will be provided to crew members during the shooting of the series and the audition process is being done through an online medium.
The script is almost completed and filming locations have been decided. Shooting of ‘Gadera’ will be done in both Kumaon and Garhwal regions of Uttarakhand. Local people’s talents will be appreciated and they will be given an opportunity to showcase it. There have been discussions about the series’ story and historical events. We are still waiting for the filmmakers to disclose the cast, release date and streaming platform. All these details will reach you at the right time. Stay tuned!
