Gal Gadot has confirmed that she will be coming back for a new Wonder Woman movie. After James Gunn took over DC, there have been many serious changes under his leadership and many of them were controversial and were criticized by fans.
Gal Gadot made her debut as Diana in ‘Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice’ that came out in 2016. She had her solo movie in 2017 and it was followed by a sequel in 2020. Her iconic performance has made the role memorable and fans have been wanting more films with her. James Gunn is starting a new cinematic universe with ‘Superman: Legacy’ and it will have a cast of whole new actors. Henry Cavill had been playing Superman for long, and his exit from the DCEU was a hard blow for the fans. But we can rest assured now that Gal Gadot is not going anywhere, and that she will continue to be the Wonder Woman.
The actress has said, “I love portraying Wonder Woman, it’s so close to and dear to my heart. From what I heard from James and from Peter is that we’re gonna develop a Wonder Woman 3 together.” Her future as Wonder Woman was not clear. But she was seen on cameos in ‘Shazam: Fury Of The Gods’, and ‘The Flash’ and fans were confused about her position in the DCEU.
It is not revealed when the third movie of the Wonder Woman franchise will be released and what plot and cinematic universe it will be associated too.
