As per one of the latest reports from Collider, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman 3 is not in development at James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Studios. This scenario contradicts the actress’ recent interviews where she informed about having talks with the studio’s heads regarding the third entry of Wonder Woman. Additionally, the duo of Gunn and Safran are currently working on the prequel series Paradise Lost.
This is what Gadot told recently to Collider about Wonder Woman 3:
“I was invited to a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran. They told me, and I’m quoting: ‘You’re in the best hands. We’re going to develop Wonder Woman 3 with you. (We) love you as Wonder Woman – you’ve got nothing to worry about.’ So time will tell.”
The reason behind this complicated situation is not known yet.
Apart from Wonder Woman 3, the future of Blue Beetle also looks foggy in the DCU. The upcoming Xolo Mariduena starrer is a standalone film, which means that the movie’s characters could appear in DCU projects. The film is scheduled to arrive in theatres globally on August 18.
