The shooting was supposed to start earlier but due to the prevailing conditions, it was only wise to postpone it. Aparna Archarekar, the Programming Head at ZEE5 India has said this to the meida, “Our highest concern is the safety of our entire unit and we will insure utmost care and follow all social distancing norms and follow all mandates given to us.”
As per reports, Rajeev was offered two shows by ZEE5 and he decided to follow his heart which led him to choose Naxal. “The storytelling is very different. I haven’t played such a character anywhere, be it films, TV or web series and I am looking forward to it because this is going to challenge the greatest side of mine and I will probably have to unlearn a whole lot of things to do justice to his character,” said Rajeev in his interview when asked about his character on the show. He will be playing a cop, racing against time to fulfill his duty and save the nation. It will be out as a ten episode series.
The shooting will soon begin with complete safety. If rumors are to be believed, this series directed by Kunal Kohli will release somewhere after August 2020.
