The latest French movie to hit Netflix by the end of October is the action packed “Rogue City”. We expect French movies to be full of art and romance but this one breaks the stereotype and enters the genre of action, thriller and crime for French movies.
The movie set in Marseilles, France, follows the story of an anti-gang cop and his squad who needs to protect himself and his group of men against the deadly and clashing gangs of Marseilles. The city is shown as the adored and much loved city of south of France but holds some deep and dangerous secrets and gangs.
This action packed flick revolves around the new chief of Police Ange Leonetti played by Jean Reno and the leader of the anti gang cop squad, Richard Vronski played by Lannick Gautry. They are shown to be always on the edge as the actions of the gangs keep them on their toes.
The movie also stars Stanislas Mehrar, David Belle, Kaaris, Claudia Cardinale, Gerard Lanvin and many others in the supporting roles making this a power pact movie. Directed by the celebrated director Olivier Marchal, “Rogue City” will be released on October 30 on Netflix.
With various plots going on all together, like the release of a most wanted criminal, corruption amongst the department, gang wars, the movie has the chances of going haywire. Given the amazing cast and directors, we are hoping for a sort after movie even though it will be a full package of action, thrill, gunfires, killings and everything else.
One of the biggest treat of the movie is actually behind the scenes. The fight and stunt coordinator for Rogue City is Alain Figlarz, who has earlier been a part of the stunt team of The Bourne Identity, Taken 2, The Transporter and so many more.
The audience can definitely be ready to be in for a treat with this movie.
