The projects of superhero franchises like DC and Marvel mainly revolve around the basic concept of good versus evil. We see bad guys making efforts to conquer the world or trying to pull off something more horrible in these projects. To defeat them for good, we have good superheroes who use their powers to stop them at all costs. However, the arrival of Eric Kripke’s The Boys changed everything. Not only did it function as a twisted and dark take on the superhero genre, but it also bestowed a fresh perspective on the protectors of our planet. It dared to show the hidden realities of corrupt superheroes. The earth-shattering success of The Boys inspired Prime Video to greenlight its spinoff series, Gen V, scheduled to premiere on the streaming platform on September 29.
Here are the top five characters from Gen V that may catch viewers’ attention!
Emma Meyer (played by Lizzie Broadway)
Also known by her other name, Little Cricket, Emma Meyer will be one of the most important characters in Gen V. She is naive and insecure but later develops her personality, thanks to her friendship with her roommate, Marie Moreau. She possesses the ability to shrink herself up to the size of a small insect. Though, it will be intriguing to see how Compound V alters her original powers.
Cate Dunlap (played by Maddie Phillips)
Cate is one of the most prominent juniors at Godolkin University. She is a mind empath, a unique ability that enables her to control certain people by just touching them with her hands. It can be seen as a variation of telepathy. To make things more exciting, she will be Golden Boy’s girlfriend in the upcoming series. Her charismatic, arrogant, and supremely confident persona will surely lure our attention.
Sam (played by Asa Germann)
Sam will be one of the strongest supes in Gen V. This guy is known for his invulnerability and ability to move at super speed, along with his kindness. However, his hallucinations often get the best of him, tormenting his mind and thoughts.
Marie Moreau (played by Jazz Sinclair)
Marie Moreau will lead Gen V. She is a blood bender, supes that are able to control their own blood. This creepy sort of ability tortures her body, but her limited healing ability compensates for her pain. Did you notice her in The Boys Season 3? Apparently, her name pops up on the Red River Institute’s database when Hughie and Starlight visit the place for their mission. It means she will be transferred from Godolkin University to the Red River Institute.
Luke Riordan, aka Golden Boy (played by Patrick Schwarzenegger)
Luke is another prominent student of Godolkin University. Many fans have hailed him as Gen V’s version of Homelander. However, it will be interesting to witness how much of Homelander’s craziness and insanity he will possess in the forthcoming spinoff entry. He knows how to manipulate fire, making him one of the strongest supes in the show. He may even get a spot in The Seven in future. Who knows?
Gen V will arrive on Amazon Prime Video on September 29. Stay tuned for more updates.
