George Clooney & Adam Sandler Team Up For Noah Baumbach’s Next Netflix Film

George Clooney will team up with Adam Sandler for Noah Baumbach’s new untitled film for Netflix. Baumbach will co-produce the project with David Heyman and Amy Pascal. He also wrote the film’s script with Emily Mortimer.

No plot details have been revealed yet about the film by Netflix, except that it is being hailed as a funny and emotional coming-of-age flick about adults.

The upcoming comedy-drama film will be the fourth Netflix project directed by Noah Baumbach under his exclusive deal with the streaming service. He has also helmed The Meyerowitz Stories (2017), Marriage Story (2019), and White Noise (2022) for the platform. Apart from these projects, he also co-wrote Barbie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, with Greta Gerwig.

As for Adam Sandler and George Clooney, this will be the first time they will collaborate on a film. Sandler’s last three movies were made specifically for Netflix: Murder Mystery 2, You Are So Not Invited to My Bar Mitzvah, and Leo. On the other hand, Clooney’s upcoming projects, The Boys in the Boat (his directional film) and Wolfs, will surely gain significant attention from both viewers and media publications. He will star alongside Brad Pitt for Wolfs, helmed by Jon Watts. The film will come out in 2024. Netflix has yet to comment on Noah Baumbach’s next project. Stay tuned for more updates.
