Clooney & Roberts’ Rom-Com ‘A Ticket to Paradise’ Gets a Release DateIt was announced a few days back that ‘Ocean’s 11’ stars George Clooney and Julia Roberts will reunite for a romantic comedy film titled ‘Ticket to Paradise’. As per a recent announcement by Universal Pictures, the film is slated to release on September 30, 2022.

‘Ticket to Paradise’ is not to be mixed up with Aubrey Scotto’s film of the same name, which had an entirely different premise that revolved around an amnesiac man who loses his memory after a car accident.

Long-time associates Clooney and Roberts were last seen in Judie Foster’s 2016 mystery-thriller film ‘Money Monster’. Prior to that, they had also appeared together in the biographical spy film ‘Confessions of a Dangerous Mind’ (directed by George Clooney himself), Steven Soderberg’s heist flick ‘Ocean’s 11’ and its sequel ‘Ocean’s 12’.

‘Ticket to Paradise’ is being helmed by Ol Parker, whose last venture – the 2018 musical film ‘Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!’ went on to become a box-office success. ‘Ticket to Paradise’ is centered around Clooney and Roberts’ characters as a divorced couple, who team-up to stop their lovestruck daughter from making the same mistake they once made.

‘Michael Clayton’ actor George Clooney was last seen in his own directorial post-apocalyptic sci-fi drama ‘The Midnight Sky’. Clooney is currently directing the Ben Affleck starrer ‘The Tender Bar’, which is based on a 2005 memoir by Pulitzer Prize-winning writer J.R. Moehringer.

While ‘Notting Hill’ star Julia Roberts’ last project was the psychological thriller television show ‘Homecoming’, which was incidentally her small-screen debut, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video. Roberts is set to star in yet another television series ‘Gaslit’, that revolves around the infamous Watergate scandal of the 1970s. Besides, she will also play the lead in the forthcoming Apple series ‘The Last Thing He Told Me’, which she is co-producing along with ‘Legally Blonde’ actress Reese Witherspoon.

Ticket to Paradise’ is expected to begin shooting in Queensland, Australia later this year.
