What if you could gain access to Netflix at just Rupees 5 per month? Wouldn’t it be fabulous? It is precisely what Netflix is implementing now. However, there is a catch with it, and that’s where the true intentions lie.
The rupee 5 per month for Netflix is only for the new subscribers. And it is only available for the first month. From the second month, the plans revert to the existing ones which are to be picked by the customer when they sign up for the platform.
The idea behind the 5 rupee marketing strategy is to give access and taste of the content available in Netflix to as many people as possible. Once they are in it, the expectation is that the viewer could continue with any of the available.
The rupee 5 per month for Netflix is currently in the testing phase. It is available to selective costumers since February 21st itself. Previously the Netflix’s cheaper monthly plans did provide a considerable boost to its subscribers. We have to see if the latest strategy also yields similar results or not.
