Glen Powell To Be The New ‘Running Man’ For Paramount!

American actor Glen Powell last made headlines for being the romantic lead in Sony’s latest well-received rom-com ‘Anyone But You’ against Sydney Sweeney. Back in the news again, Powell is all set to star in Edgar Wright’s film adaptation of Stephen King’s ‘The Running Man’ for Paramount Pictures.

Famed for having directed acclaimed titles like ‘Scott Pilgrim v/s The World’, ‘Last Night in Soho’, ‘Baby Driver’, and more, English filmmaker and actor Edgar Wright is known for his fast-paced, satirical genre films, which often feature an extensive utilization of popular and expressive music.

Best known for his role in 2022’s ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, Powell will step into the shoes of a character previously played by industry legend Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1987 cult classic adaptation. His upcoming projects also include ‘Hit Man’ for Netflix.

Written by the King of horror literature Stephen King, the film follows a falsely convicted policeman in a dystopian America as he gets his last shot at freedom. He must participate in a TV game show where convicts, and runners, must battle killers for their freedom.

While the book has already been adapted previously and has been widely acclaimed, fans of the genre will surely be on the lookout for Powell’s performance!
