If you happen to see how Netflix is doing then you would know that it is all about Leo these days, In India, the most-watched film last week was Leo and globally too (in English). But, there is something important that you ought to know.
Vijay’s Leo is a massive blockbuster and it was the highest-grossing film at the box office globally in its debut week. Given the fact that an Indian film soared past “Killers Of The Flower Moon” and emerged at #1 at the Global Box Office, it is a big benchmark for other Indian films to follow. Regardless, Leo was not at all well received in its debut week at Netflix. It was even behind a Shilpa Shetty film. Interestingly, things took a U-turn and the reception of Leo in Hindi came out to be stronger than that of original Tamil.
Regardless, Globally as well, Leo Leo was all that echoed on Netflix. But, it was a different kind of Leo altogether.
It is not the English version of Leo that we are talking about. Rather, the animated film Leo features the voice of Adam Sandler. Needless to say, animated films at Netflix have gone on becoming better and better. Even their reception is increasing with every big release they come up with. So globally, it was the animated film Leo that got the position of #1. Please don’t confuse it with Vijay’s Leo.
