A new trailer is out for ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’, the next film in the Hollywood MonsterVerse, and the fifth overall from creators Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures. ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ premieres in theatres worldwide on 29th March, 2024, including in Indian theatres. Given the huge popularity of both Godzilla and Kong in India, the film will release in India in four languages – English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
The new trailer for ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ goes back thousands of years in history, to lay bare the origin of the beloved monster Kong, and the secrets of Skull Island. It harks back to the legendary rivalry between Kong and Godzilla, before zipping back to present times as the two unite to fight a powerful and dangerous adversary.
‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ stars Dan Stevens, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Rachel House, Kaylee Hottle, Alex Ferns and Fala Chen among others. The movie is directed by Adam Wingard, and written by Terry Rossio, Jeremy Slater and Simon Barrett, from a story by Adam Wingard, Adam Wingard, Terry Rossio and Simon Barrett.
The official synopsis of ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ reads – “After nearly destroying each other in 2020’s Godzilla vs. Kong, the giant Titans are back to face a new dangerous threat, but this time, they are on the same side”.
Producers Warner Bros. and Legendary will hope that ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ will benefit from the runaway success of last year’s ‘Godzilla Minus One’. For those who don’t know, Godzilla x Kong and Godzilla Minus One are from two different franchises – the former film is part of the Hollywood MonsterVerse; the latter is part of the well-known and much older Japanese franchise.
