Golden Globes 2024: Complete Nominations List

The nominations for the 2024 Golden Globes (81st edition) have been revealed, putting the ongoing Hollywood awards season into high gear.

Wilmer Valderrama and Cedric “The Entertainer” revealed the nominees on CBS News’ livestream. The prestigious awards show will take place on January 7 at the iconic Beverly Hilton Hotel in California. The event will stream live on Paramount+ and CBS.

Golden Globes act as the pacesetter for Hollywood’s awards season and for both Emmys and Academy Awards as well. The upcoming GG edition will be memorable as it will be the first ceremony under the control of Eldridge Industries and Dick Clark Productions. They both acquired the show’s assets, properties and rights from the HFPA (Hollywood Foreign Press Association) in June this year.

It will be important for the Golden Globes to achieve its former glory and rebuild its credibility after the HFPA endured allegations of ethical issues and racism. Founded in 1943, the HFPA organised the ceremony for nearly 80 years. The non-profit organisation came under scrutiny after the complete absence of black members inside the organisation was disclosed. This controversial scenario led to widespread boycotts by prominent studios and film stars. In addition, the ceremony’s broadcast in 2022 was cancelled as well.

This year, we will get nominations in 27 award categories across movies and television. Among these categories, we have two newly announced categories: Best Performance in Stand-Up on Television and Cinematic and Box Office Achievement in Motion Pictures.

Check out the nominations for the 2024 Golden Globes below!
