Good Luck Jerry, the official remake of the 2018 Tamil film Kolamaavu Kokila is just a few weeks away from getting released on Disney+Hotstar.
The original starred lady superstar Nayanthara but Janhvi Kapoor will reprise the fun character in the Hindi remake.
Apart from the leading lady, the film casts Deepak Dobriyal, Mita Vashisht, Neeraj Sood, and Sushant Singh in supporting roles.
After a series of posters, the trailer is out and it looks like a promising black comedy.
The film is directed by Sidharth Sengupta who has a long experience mainly in TV serials and web series. Subaskaran Allirajah, Aanand L. Rai, and Mahaveer Jain are the producers of this film.
The lead character Jaya Kumari aka Jerry hails from a poor financial condition. Seeing no hope to fix her pathetic condition, she takes a wrong turn. To earn money quickly, she gets involved in a drug racket. Naturally, things go smoothly for a while but only get worse. For this poor decision, she along with her whole family is at risk of getting killed.
Good Luck Jerry has a huge responsibility of doing justice to the original Kolamaavu Kokila as it is a cult classic, especially for Nayanthara fans.
Regardless, the film will release on 29th July, till then all we can do is wait.
