Reports are emerging that Keerthy Suresh‘s Telugu film, Good Luck Sakhi is in advanced talks with Zee5 for a direct OTT release. If the deal is inked, we can expect an official announcement soon from the makers. The movie will be available in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam languages. Good Luck Sakhi has a sad tale to narrate. It was a film that was ready even before the COVID first wave.
The makers were on the verge of signing a deal for an OTT release. But Keerthy Suresh’s two other films – Penguin and Miss India released on OTT and bombed. As a result, Good Luck Sakhi suffered. The makers, then, thought of releasing the film in theaters after the first wave. It was supposed to release on June 3rd but everything went topsyturvy due to the COVID second wave.
They would have got a better rate if the movie released last year. The makers would have compromised on many fronts to release the movie on OTT now. The actress will be playing the role of a sharpshooter in the film directed by Nagesh Kukunoor. Aadhi Pinishetty and Jagapathi Babu were seen in crucial roles. Devi Sri Prasad has scored the music. Dil Raju is presenting the film while Sudheer Chandra Padiri is producing it on the Worth A Shot Motion Arts banner.
