The other day, we carried some media reports saying that Keerthy Suresh’s Telugu film, Good Luck Sakhi is in advanced talks with Zee5 for a direct OTT release. But the producer has come up with an update that it is not true. Suresh Mohan, the producer at Worth A Shot Motion Arts released a statement to the media refuting those reports.
“There are rumors that we are going for a direct OTT release all over the media. Kindly request the media to refrain from saying so. None of it is true. We will come with an update if any,” the producer’s statement read. It is interesting to note that the producer at the same time did not say they will wait for the theaters to open. Does that mean they are in for an OTT release but the deal has been not struck yet? Is this clarification to clear confusion among OTT players approaching for OTT release?
Good Luck Sakhi was a film that was ready for release even before the COVID first wave. It was recently announced for a theatrical release on June 3rd but even that did not happen due to the Second Wave. The actress plays a sharpshooter in this film directed by Nagesh Kukunoor.
