Good Sam was a Canadian film that was released in 2019. But this series is highly different from that. The American broadcasting company CBS is all set to stream its new medical drama from 5th January onwards.
It is called Good Sam and is based on a narcissist doctor and his daughter. This series casts Sophia Bush as Dr Samantha Griffith and Jason Isaacs as Dr Rob Griffith.
Dr Rob Griffith is a highly trained and experienced surgeon who is very possessive about his job. He fails to see talent and necessary skills in young doctors. He finds them emotionally unstable and not very fit for the role they are aspiring for.
But his daughter Dr Samantha Griffith has some very fresh and rebellious ideas. She’s a young confident and disagreeable person who is ready for the challenge.
In one unfortunate incident, her father is himself admitted in the hospital as a patient. Quite obviously Dr Samantha has to take charge of the hospital.
She along with her fellow doctors accept that challenge and become ready for the liberal administration. But as soon as Dr Rob Griffith awakens from his unconsciousness, he starts complaining about various things.
Quite obviously that includes his daughter being in the charge and her ways. This leads to a kind of dispute between them that must be interesting to watch.
Hotstar’s Human is another medical thriller that will come out in January. This series however is American and will premiere on Voot Select from 6th January onwards.
There is no doubt about the fact that Human has a clear cut edge and will emerge out much more successful than this one in India.
