Macho star Gopichand’s latest theatrical release ‘Pakka Commercial’ got a mixed response from critics and also could not live up to the expectations at the box office. Helmed by Maruthi, the film is now set for its digital debut not on one but two streaming platforms.
The Telugu version of ‘Pakka Commercial’ will premiere on Telugu only streaming service Aha Video on 5th August. For other language versions one will have to switch to Netflix which also acquired the film’s streaming rights from the makers.
Although Netflix hasn’t announced the release date for ‘Pakka Commercial’ yet, it will most probably start streaming on the same day as Aha Video i.e. on 5th August.
While the actors were praised for their performances in ‘Pakka Commercial’ the film’s story did not deliver much. Moreover, the routine screenplay and run time did not work in favour of the film. Now that the film is set for its OTT release, it will be interesting to see how it performs given that audience has the choice to skip forward the non-interesting parts.
‘Pakka Commercial’ is a Telugu courtroom action comedy film starring Gopichand, Raashii Khanna, Sathyaraj, Rao Ramesh and Anasuya Bharadwaj among others. Written and directed by Maruthi and music from Jakes Bejoy, the film’s cinematography is handled by Karm Chawla with editing from S. B. Uddhav.
