There is good news for graphic novel geeks. The novel ‘Money’ is going to be adapted to a web series soon.
‘Money’ is created by artist Luca Casalanguida and Curt Pires and is a conspiracy thriller. Amazon MGM Studios is working on the adaptation. No writer or any other crew has been hired till now. Curt Pires will most probably work on the screenplay. He will also serve as an executive producer alongside former Marvel Television exec Karim Zreik.
‘Money’ will be one epic story. The plot of the book has been described as: “Everything you’ve heard about the global elite is true: Five families have ruled the world since time immemorial and every 10 years an election is held to see which powerful family will be the next to lead. To steer the direction of the world. To execute their vision of the future. And this is the story of what happens next.” Amazon MGM is also working on the adaptation of ‘Glossy: Ambition, Beauty and the Inside Story of Emily Weiss’ Glossier’.
Shows made from Graphic novels are in a different league altogether. Series like Sandman, American Born Chinese are some very popular shows and hopefully, ‘Money’ too will be able to reach its appropriate audience and earn a fan base.
