‘Gray’ on Amazon miniTV: A Friendship Vs Consent Struggle Tale

Amazon miniTV has dropped the trailer of its upcoming mini movie ‘Gray’ and this one’s a heartfelt tale of a young girl who is caught between friendship and consent. Helmed by Sakshi Gurnani, ‘Gray’ is a Yuvaa Originals film and will premiere on Amazon miniTV on 20th May, 2022.

The trailer begins with Naina (Shreya Dhanwanthary) and her best friend (Chaitanya Sharma) living the best moments of their lives. Their six year long friendship suffers a setback when her best friend develops feelings for her while Naina does not feel the same way for him.

But something happens that changes Naina’s happy life and she starts seeing a therapist (Dia Mirza) to help her guide through the tough phase. While Naina wants to forget it all as if nothing happened, her therapist tries to calm her down and make her realise that what happened with her wasn’t her fault. She also tells her that there’s always hope for the better with every new day.

Gray’ follows the story of today’s independent youth that forces one to think. This mini movie is centres around Naina who talks to her therapist about an unfortunate incident that happened with her and how she is struggling between friendship and consent. This short film’s all about how Naina overcomes all this and moves on with her life.

With a concept from Puneet Ruparel, ‘Gray’ is written and directed by Sakshi Gurnani. The mini movie is produced by Nikhil Taneja, Amritpal Singh Bindra and Anand Tiwari. ‘Gray’ will start streaming on Amazon miniTV for free on the Amazon shopping app from 20th May, 2022.
