Grey’s Anatomy’s Sarah Drew To Star In Apple TV+’s ‘Amber Brown’

Apple has ordered a new series ‘Amber Brown’ from director and creator Bonnie Hunt (‘Life with Bonnie,’ ‘The Bonnie Hunt Show’). The series is based on award-winning and popular best-selling books by Paula Danziger that have received acclaim for capturing the kid experience in a funny, relatable voice.

As per Apple, ‘Amber Brown’ is an unfiltered look at a girl finding her own voice through art and music in the wake of her parents’ divorce. Carsyn Rose (‘The Rookie,’ ‘Cousins for Life’) will play the titular role of Amber Brown, an everykid who is going through what many children experience, and making sense of her new family dynamic through her sketches and video diary.

Apart from Rose, the cast of Apple’s ‘Amber Brown’ includes Sarah Drew (‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ ‘Cruel Summer’) playing the role of Amber’s mother Sarah Brown, Darin Brooks (‘Blue Mountain State,’ ‘The Croods: Family Tree’) as Max, and newcomer Liliana Inouye (‘The Slows’) as Brandi Colwin.

Boat Rockers is producing ‘Amber Brown’ for Apple. Hunt will serve as the showrunner for the series and executive produce it in addition to Bob Higgins (‘Dino Ranch,’ ‘A Tale Dark and Grimm,’ ‘The Who Was? Show’) and Jon Rutherford (‘A Tale Dark and Grimm,’ ‘Daniel Spellbound,’ ‘Dino Ranch’) for Boat Rocker.

Further information about production and release date for ‘Amber Brown’ on Apple TV+ is yet to be revealed by the platform.
