Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe got a bumpy start with ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ in February this year. While the Paul Rudd starrer was praised for its performances, visuals, and musical score, it received criticism for its plot and tonal departures compared to previous Ant-Man flicks. However, it seems like the ongoing MCU phase could gain some much-needed stability with James Gunn’s upcoming ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3’. The film’s first reactions have poured in. Let’s check them out!
Marvel has not revealed GOTG Vol 3’s plot details, but the film will pretty much revolve around Rocket’s past. It will take place after the events of ‘The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special’, released in November 2022. We will see Peter Quill and the rest of the Guardians try adjusting to life on Knowhere. But all changes after horrifying details of Rocket’s past resurface. This scenario forces Quill to lead the Guardians on a highly dangerous mission that could destroy everything they love.
James Gunn has already declared that the forthcoming GOTG entry will be his final Marvel film. Let’s see how Vol 3 has turned out! Check out the early reviews here!
