Guess How TVF’s Aspirants Dethroned Hansal Mehta’s Scam 1992 On IMDb

By Binged Bureau - May 18, 2021 @ 10:05 am

Every year India gets some series that blows people’s mind and in the last few years, such series have become really frequent. With series like Mirzapur, The Family Man, Paatal Lok, Sacred Games, we have plenty of them now. Last year, as pandemic set in, many stayed glued to their screens finding solace in series and films on OTT. While many new releases were seen, one that stole the show was Hansal Mehta’s Scam 1992.

Scam 1992 went on to become the highest rated series on IMDb list, but looks like now another brand new series has taken the spot. TVF’s Aspirants that released on 7th of April, this year with 5 episodes will definitely go down as one of the best series to be ever made. Now, TVF Aspirants looks like they have dethroned Hansal Mehta’s Scam 1992 to be the highest rated on IMDb.

But here’s a thing, you still will see that Scam 1992 is rated 9.5 out of 10, while Aspirants is rated 9 out of 10. So, how have Aspirants taken over? So if one carefully sees, Aspirants has been ranked 9 out of 10 with a whopping 23,922 votes, whereas Scam 1992 was voted 9.5 out of 10 with 98,127 votes. So, technically and officially it can be said with more votes Aspirants is ranked higher than Scam 1992.

Both Aspirants and Scam 1992 are two of our most recommended series without doubt. Scam 1992, beautifully describes how a real life incident went down back in 1992 on Mumbai’s Dalal Street and ended up being recorded as one of the biggest scams ever.

TVF’s Aspirants tells the story of 3 friends who stay in a room in Delhi’s Rajendra Nagar and aspire to crack the UPSC exams. The story is not about only them going for the exam, but it tells a lot about friendships, relations, staying in Delhi in a room, preparing for the exams and chasing dreams. The series is something that will connect with everyone emotionally too.

So, with both the series ranked so high on IMDb, why don’t you all get to watch them, if you haven’t and if you already have, then we believe this might take you on a binge watching ride once again.
