Guess Who Is Ready To Make Their Grand Comeback On Grey’s Anatomy S18?

Grey’s Anatomy, a series that has transcended from being just a series to something higher. Grey’s Anatomy has now over the years, turned to almost an institution in itself. The show is successfully running without a single dull moment in it. The series has now entered its 18th Season and it’s still rated as one of the best series out there. Normally series after a certain number of seasons lose their touch, but Grey’s Anatomy has maintained to stay the same and has even gone on to break records. Season 18 of Grey’s Anatomy is a tad bit special because fans will be seeing the return of a few fan-favorite characters once again.

Now, when we are talking about returns, this one needs a special mention. It has been finally revealed that Kate Walsh is making her much-asked, much-awaited comeback in the series as Dr. Addison Montgomery. That’s right, Dr. Derek Shepherd’s ex-wife as well as Meredith’s former rival; Addison will make her comeback in this season and will be seen in multiple episodes throughout Season 18. Kate Walsh first made her entry in 2005 on the season finale of Season 1, as she introduced herself as a doctor and also Dr. Shepherd’s ex-wife, turning Meredith’s life upside down.

Kate Walsh has been a series regular in Grey’s Anatomy throughout Season 2 and 3 and by the end of Season 3, she left the hospital and moved to Los Angeles. There started the spin-off series of Grey’s Anatomy, “Private Practice”, which successfully ran for 6 seasons. In Grey’s Anatomy, though she was hated for character and her “rivalry” with Meredith, she was equally loved and adored. She had a certain fan base of her own, and as a doctor, she did her job phenomenally well.

Last season too, with the impending doom that came with COVID-19, Grey’s Anatomy saw some special appearances from Patrick Dempsey, who played Derek Shepherd, Meredith’s friend George and her sister Lexie. This season, it has been revealed that Ellis Grey will also appear in multiple episodes, along with a well-known friend of hers Dr. Alan Hamilton, who will be played by Peter Gallagher, and with the announcement of Dr. Addison coming in, this season too seems like it will top the charts once again.

Kate Walsh has described that she is delighted to return “home” once again and work with Ellen Pompeo and Shonda Rhimes after so long. Fans have been asking the creators for a long time if they will see Dr. Addison ever in the upcoming seasons and it looks like their prayers are answered. It’s still unclear as to what and how her character will pan out to be but as Kate Walsh broke the news last night, one thing’s for sure; her return will be nothing less than “grand” for everyone.
