After the success of the 2022 film Fakt Mahilao Maate, Anand Pandit is back again with another movie, supposedly a sequel as its name suggests. The movie, named Fakt Purusho Maate (trans. For Men Only), will be released on 23rd August. The movie will be directed by Jay Bodas (The director for the previous movie) and Parth Trivedi.
The movie has a special cameo role for Amitabh Bacchan, who also played as the narrator for the previous movie where only his voice was used. Amitabh Bacchan can be seen playing the role of God (similarly as he did in God Tussi Great Ho) in the beginning of the movie. Amitabh himself reported his role saying, “After the groundbreaking success of ‘Fakt Mahilao Maate’, my dear friend Anand Pandit (Producer) and his team are back again with a roller coaster of drama, emotions AND comedy – ‘Fakt Purusho Maate’ releasing on 23rd August 2024. Enjoyed playing a special appearance in this special film (sic).”
The movie will feature veteran actor Darshan Jariwala as the protagonist. He acts as the dead patriarch of a family. After his death, he meets God (Amitabh) and he fulfils his wish to go back to his family in the form of a spirit with some special powers. His main motive in the film is to break the marriage between his grandson and his fiancée and fix him up for an arranged marriage. As per the trailer, his grandson Brijesh (played by Yash Soni) is able to see him, and after getting to know about his plan to break his marriage, he starts a truffle with him to marry the girl he loves.
The trailer of the movie poses a lot of potential for the movie and by looking at it one can find a lot of fun elements that are worth watching. The performance of Jariwala seems incredible and the dialogues seem to elevate the quality rather than degrade it. The movie is worth watching with the family as a relaxing vacation plan.
