The filming of Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s production house Excel Entertainment’s upcoming romantic action-thriller movie ‘Yudhra’ has reportedly commenced earlier today. The film features Siddhant Chaturvedi in the lead role alongside Malavika Mohanan. The actor took to his social media account to reveal the film’s mahurat shot and the post was marked with the words ‘Let’s go…Team Yudhra’.
‘Yudhra’ is being helmed by Ravi Udyawar, who had previously written and directed the brilliantly crafted revenge thriller ‘Mom’ starring Sridevi and Akshaye Khanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, amongst others. ‘Yudhra’ will reportedly contain some riveting hand combat and street fight action sequences, which was also somewhat evident from the film’s poster.
Siddhant Chaturvedi is a UP-born talented performer who shot to fame through his adorable portrayal as MC Sher in Zoya Akhtar’s directorial and Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer underdog story ‘Gully Boy’. Besides ‘Gully Boy’, Siddhant Chaturvedi is also known for his role in the hit web series ‘Gully Boy’.
A couple of days back, it was reported that Siddhant Chaturvedi had wrapped up shoot for Shakun Batra’s forthcoming untitled directorial film which also features Deepika Padukone and Ananya Pandey. Siddhant’s upcoming projects also include ‘Bunty and Babli 2’ (co-starring Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, and Pankaj Tripathi), ‘Phone Bhoot’ (co-starring Katrina Kaif, Jackie Shroff, and Ishaan Khattar) and the family drama ‘Desi Videsi’.
On the other hand, Malavika Mohanan is known for her roles in films like ‘Pattam Pole’ (opposite Dulquer Salman), Majid Majidi’s ‘Beyond the Clouds’, and the Tamil language action thriller film ‘Master’ (co-starring Vijay), amongst other film projects.
