Hack Your Health Documentary Film Strikes Gold On Netflix

Netflix’s latest documentary film, Hack Your Health: The Secrets of Your Gut, has become a surprise streaming success. Helmed by Anjali Nayar, the documentary features Giulia Enders, a German doctor, who explains how our stomach operates and the things that adversely impact our gut.

Hack Your Health tells all the ins and outs of the human digestive system, specifically focusing on the development of microbiomes, the working of bacteria, advices for improving gut health, and so much more. Additionally, we see interviews with several human test subjects, who explain their unique digestive struggles.

Amidst tough competition from Rebel Moon: Part Two – The Scargiver, Anyone But You, and Rebel Moon: Part One – A Child of Fire, Hack Your Health managed to earn impressive viewership figures on Netflix. The documentary film ranked #6 on the streaming service’s Global Top 10 Movies List (April 22 – April 28, 2024). It has been watched by over 4.4 million individual viewers, with more than 5.9 million hours of collective viewing.

However, the documentary’s critical reception does not look that great, receiving a ‘rotten’ critic score of 43% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on six certified reviews.
