Hacks Season 2 Cast Just Got Bigger and Better!

HBO Max‘s Hacks needs no introduction. This American Comedy drama has been winning hearts and accolades left, right and centre be it Primetime Emmy Awards for it’s writing or acting awards for Jean Smart. Premiered on May 13,2021, the show was renewed for a second season in the month of June.

The latest casting news for Hacks Season 2 from the makers’ side has only pumped up all of it’s fans for a smashing thunderbolt upcoming season. Laurie Metcalf (Lady Bird, The Conners), Martha Kelly (Euphoria, Marriage Story) and Ming-Na Wen (The Book of Boba Fett, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) has joined Emmy Winner Jean Smart and Emmy Nominee Hannah Einbinder for the second season. Margaret Cho (The Flight Attendant, Fire Island) will also guest-star. However, there are no details regarding the characters they’re set to play.

The critically acclaimed series follows the professional relationship between a young comedy writer Ava played by Hannah Einbinder who was recently fired from her job and a legendary stand-up comedienne Deborah Vance played by Jean Smart who needs to maintain her relevance. The two reluctantly team up to freshen up Deborah’s material and learn to respect each other’s differences. But this looks easier said than done. However it’s to be seen if the second season can carry the same amounts of chuckles, warmth and relief like the first season which obviously was a breathe of fresh air.

The cast includes Carl Clemons-Hopkins and Jane Adams, both Emmy Nominees returning, with Christopher McDonald, Kaitlin Olson, Rose Abdoo, Mark Indelicato, Meg Stalter, Paul W. Downs, Poppy Liu, Angela E. Gibbs, Luenell, Johnny Sibilly, Joe Mande, Ally Maki, and Lorenza Izzo also starring.
