Hansika Motwani in a Telugu Web Series Soon!

With actresses having very little shelf life in mainstream cinema, the web series has emerged a boon for them to try out different roles and experiment with conventions. The absence of commercial pressures of a film has truly helped their cause. Hansika, who will next be seen alongside Sundeep Kishan in Tenali Ramakrishna, realising the same, has signed a web series that’s being directed by Pilla Zamindar-fame maker G Ashok.

The director had felt it was time to try his luck with innovative storytelling in the digital medium and felt a popular face like Hansika could go a long way in enhancing the appeal of the series. From what we hear, her part promises to be a quirky one and the actress has liked her role.

The shoot of the web series has already begun in Mumbai and its cast comprises an ensemble of several comedians from the Telugu industry. For those who’ve been missing Hansika on the big screen, this could just be the news they would want to hear.
