Telugu film ‘HanuMan’ has turned out to be the surprise hit of the year. Made at a miniscule budget, the film has been minting money at the box office. The unconventional superhero movie has hit the sweet spot with viewers, who’ve been thronging theatres to watch HanuMan in action.
The mythological superhero film HanuMan has overtaken even biggie Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram in worldwide daily collections. The film has reportedly crossed the ₹100 crore mark worldwide. As a result, screens have been increased for HanuMan in major markets around the world.
It’s box office success aside, the most significant aspect of the movie is the bonanza that awaits the HanuMan OTT platform. The OTT platform of HanuMan is guaranteed a blockbuster whenever the movie will premiere on OTT. For those who don’t know, Indian OTT platform ZEE5 has grabbed the streaming rights for HanuMan, and most importantly, in all languages.
HanuMan has been making waves at the box office, especially in its original Telugu language. Because of its blockbuster success, interest for the film has spiked to such a level that most Indian film lovers are waiting for the HanuMan OTT release date on ZEE5 to catch the film.
ZEE5 is sure to get humongous viewership numbers when it announces the HanuMan OTT release date. Hindi audiences, especially, will flock to ZEE5 to watch HanuMan. Not even the stakeholders at ZEE5 would have imagined that their investment in the otherwise small film HanuMan will pay such rich dividends.
Coz rich dividends are certainly in store for the HanuMan OTT platform, which is ZEE5 in this case. That ZEE5 has grabbed the OTT rights for HanuMan in all the languages —Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi — is a windfall for the streamer.
HanuMan stars young actor Teja Sajja in the role of a simple boy-next-door, who is suddenly bestowed with the superpowers of Lord Hanuman. The film is set in the fictional town of Anjanadri, where the protagonist gets the powers of Hanuman and fights for Anjanadri.
