Catherine Tate and The “Catherine Tate Show” is very popular for its humour. The BBC sketch comedy series has been nominated for an International Emmy Award and seven BAFTAs. Now she is making her debut on Netflix with another comedy series “Hard cell”. She is the writer and the creator of the series and she also plays a couple of characters in it.
The trailer showed the events of a fictional women’s prison where the authorities attempt to rehabilitate the prisoners through various novel activities. It is promising a hard laugh comedy series from Catherine Tate with various funny characters in it.
The series will be a six-part comedy which will be shot in a mockumentary style telling a story about women’s prison. The main attraction of the show is Catherine Tate will be playing six different characters simultaneously including a male character. Thanks to the character bio sheet provided by Netflix we now know which are these characters. Laura, Ros, Ange, Big Viv, Marco, Anne Marie are the different characters she is playing in the show.
Apart from Catherine Tate, other cast including Christian Brassington as Dean; Niky as Anastasia; Lorna Brown as Cal, Caroline Harding as Sal, Jola Olajide as Charlee, and Duncan Wisbey as Martin are also joining the fun ride.
The show will be available on Netflix from 12th April 2022.
