Harrison Ford’s First Look From Indiana Jones 5 Revealed!

One of the most iconic characters of Hollywood legend Harrison Ford has to be Indiana Jones. Even in India, the number of reruns the films of the adventure franchise have had is enormous. In a piece of happy news to eager fans, the first look of Ford as the fictional archaeologist Indiana Jones has been released.

The upcoming still-untitled Indiana Jones movie will be the fifth film of the series. Tentatively titled ‘Indiana Jones 5’, the movie will mark Ford’s return to the character after almost 15 years! The last release of a film in the franchise was ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’ which was released way back in 2008. The first look has Ford in Jones’ signature hat and clothes, with him in a state of thought on what seems to be a yacht. For the fans desperately wanting some update regarding the movie, this is a welcome respite.

‘Indiana Jones 5’ will mark the final film of the much-loved franchise. The first four films starring Ford were directed by Hollywood royalty Steven Spielberg, who unfortunately will not be returning to direct. The fifth film will be directed by ‘Logan’ director James Mangold. And considering Wolverine’s last Fox Studios film was a blockbuster both critically and commercially, it seems the ‘Indiana Jones 5’ is in good hands.

Indiana Jones 5 besides Ford will also have ‘Fleabag’ star Phoebe Waller-Bridge as Helena, the goddaughter of Indiana Jones, and John Rhys-Davies will be returning as Jones’ friend Sallah. Additionally, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Antonio Banderas, Toby Jones, and Olivier Richters have also been cast in undisclosed roles.

The film, as of now, is slated to release in theatres on 30 June 2023.
