Disney+ Hotstar has dropped a new poster for the upcoming marvel web series, ‘Hawkeye’… and it is awesome – it reminds us of the Hawkeye from the comic books. The poster mentions that we will be getting a two episode premiere, which means that we will be treated to one-thirds of the series from the get go (since the series has only 6 episodes in total). Expected to drop on Christmas eve, this poster has been released in multiple languages including English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam and according to them – the web series will premiere in these languages as well. What a treat!
Last time, due to the second wave of the coronavirus, there was a delay in releasing the Tamil, Telugu and Kannada versions of the MCU web series, ‘Loki’. Disney+ Hotstar could only premiere the “Norse God MCU show” in the original English and Hindi versions. Still, the OTT platform took the effort to release the series in two other regional languages (Tamil and Telugu) and the show went on to get a good amount of views for these regional language releases. Many subscribers also took to social media, praising the efforts taken by the streaming platform to make sure that their content can be viewed by the larger and diverse Indian audiences. So, after receiving such positive feedback, it makes sense that Disney+ Hotstar will do the same thing with Hawkeye as well.
This Phase 4 MCU web series will follow Clint Barton and Kate Bishop as they confront Clint’s past enemies during his brief stint as the Ronin. With Christmas approaching, he has to finish up the mess he started so that he can return to his family by Christmas. And oh! Yelena is also tracking Clint, probably to capture or kill him – under Valentina Allegra de Fontaine’s orders.
The first two episodes of MCU’s ‘Hawkeye’ will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on December 24th 2021.
