It’s a sad sad day for the fans of animated sit-com ‘Close Enough‘. HBO Max called curtains on its much adored adult animation comedy ‘Close Enough’ today. The third season of the show premiered in the month of April and this decision comes 3 months after the third season aired.
From the creator of ‘Regular Show’ JG Quintel and Cartoon Network Studios, Close Enough is an animated sitcom that follows a married couple as they juggle everyday challenges like parenthood, friendship, stripper clowns and deciding the right day care. More like a transition story of a couple from their twenties to thirties, Close Enough is already an instant fan-favourite and developed a bigger cult following after moving from TBS to HBO Max. The first season of the show after multiple delays, aired on July 2020 to 100% Rotten Tomatoes rating.
“After three great seasons, Close Enough is coming to an end. We are so proud of the series and grateful to creator JG Quintel and our partners at Cartoon Network Studios, who made this show an instant fan favorite on HBO Max.” read a statement from HBO Max.
The cancellation of ‘Close Enough’ comes soon after HBO Max renews ‘Ten Year Old Tom’ which is the streamer’s only current adult animated comedy series. Two seasons of ‘Close Enough’ is currently streaming on Netflix India. Now that the show is cancelled, hopefully it gains bigger traction on both HBO Max and Netflix.
