HBO Max Will Become ‘Max’ On This Date; Titles At Launch Revealed!

Max – the new Warner Bros. Discovery streaming platform borne from HBO Max is all set to launch officially in the USA. We now have a confirmed date for when Max will open its virtual doors for paying subscribers. The official launch date of Max in the US is 23rd May, 2023, a full three years after the original HBO Max had launched, back in 2020.

Warner Bros. Discovery has also revealed all the titles that will be available on Max at launch. Besides all the top existing HBO and HBO Max originals, the new platform Max will premiere 14 new titles on the day of launch, which is 23rd May.

The new titles that will debut on Max at launch are as follows –
1. Bama Rush (Max Original)
2. Clone High, Season 1 (Max Original)
3. German Genius (Max Original)
4. Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)
5. Gremlins: Secrets Of The Mogwai, Season 1 (Max Original)
6. Growing Floret (Magnolia Network)
7. How To Create A Sex Scandal (Max Original)
8. Maine Cabin Masters, Season 8 (Magnolia Network)
9. Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023)
10. SmartLess: On The Road (Max Original)
11. Talking Sopranos Podcast
12. Villainous, Season 1A (Cartoon Network)
13. What Am I Eating? With Zooey Deschanel (Max Original)
14. Windy City Rehab (HGTV)

Besides these premieres on the launch day itself, several other new titles will premiere on Max in the same week. They include Sydney Sweeney movie Reality on May 29, the new season of Teen Titans Go!, Burden of Proof (HBO Original), The Idol (HBO Original), Being Mary Tyler Moore (HBO Original), among others.

There’s more to look forward to on the newly minted Max. 2023 release Magic Mike’s Last Dance will premiere on Max on June 2, followed by Avatar: The Way Of Life on June 6. The latter will be available to stream in 4K UHD, HDR 10, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

Besides these, popular HBO Max Originals, HBO originals, Studio Ghibli’s 22 film library, the DC universe library, Wizarding World of Harry Potter, HGTV, Food Network, Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, TLC, Discovery Network and more will find a home on Max.
