HBO’s ‘The Last Of Us Season-2’ Release Window Confirmed!

After the massive streaming success of HBO’s widely admired post-apocalyptic horror series ‘The Last Of Us’, fans are now eagerly waiting for the arrival of the second season, which was renewed earlier this year. Just a few days back, showrunner Craig Mazin revealed that ‘The Last Of Us Season-2’ will kick-off production on 12th February 2024. And now, the streaming service Max has confirmed in its recently unveiled 2024 content teaser the release window for ‘The Last Of Us S2’.

So now, it has been officially confirmed that ‘The Last Of Us’ Season-2 will be released sometime in the year 2025. Although the exact release date should be announced later.

You might be aware that ‘The Last Of Us S2’ is expected to be based on the story of ‘The Last of Us Part II’ video game. The upcoming season will ostensibly take place a few years after the events of the first season, which is streaming in India on the Jio Cinema OTT platform.

Another interesting thing about ‘The Last Of Us Season-2’ is that the character Abby, which appeared in ‘The Last of Us Part II’ video game, is expected to make an appearance in the show’s second season. Emmy-nominated actress Kaitlyn Dever was in talks to play that role.

HBO’s widely acclaimed horror-adventure series ‘The Last Of Us’ revolves around two characters Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and is set in the backdrop of a post-apocalyptic world affected by a mass fungal infection. The basic premise is that Joel, a hardened smuggler, is hired to transport a teenager Ellie across the country, while protecting her from omnipresent dangers.
