Heartbreaking! Captain America: Brave New World Won’t Have These Actors

MCU fans! Get ready to get your hearts broken! Actor Anthony Mackie has confirmed that Sebastian Stan and Daniel Brühl will not appear in Captain America: Brave New World.

Mackie shared his disappointment about the absence of Stan and Brühl in the upcoming Captain America film in a recent interview with RadioTimes. This is what he said:

“When they decided to go back to the movies, it is what it is, but I don’t have my friends anymore, so it kind of dampens it a little bit.”

Apart from the scenario mentioned above, Anthony Mackie is also disappointed with Marvel Studio’s decision to not move forward with Season 2 of ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ series. “I really enjoyed doing that show (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier). I was actually excited to do a second season, just so me and Sebastian Stan could get paid to hang out. Because it’s like me, him, and Daniel Brühl. It’s kind of like the perfect storm of happiness. Anything I can do to hang out with Daniel, a dancing Daniel Brühl, makes me very happy,” said Mackie.

The trio of Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, and Daniel Brühl first appeared together in ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ Disney+ series, which premiered in March 2021. The show takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019). We see Bucky Barnes (Stan) and Sam Wilson (Mackie) learning to work together and trust each other in a world without their friend, Steve Rogers, aka Captain America. Cap gave his shield to Sam in the final moments of Endgame. However, Sam struggles with his identity as a superhero and the legacy of the shield in the show.

Sebastian Stan and Daniel Brühl will appear together in Thunderbolts, set to arrive in theatres globally on May 2, 2025. On the other hand, Anthony Mackie’s Captain America: Brave New World is scheduled to release a bit earlier in 2025, on February 14. Stay tuned for more updates.
