Bhansali and trolls go hand in hand. There is no way Bhansali makes something and it goes unnoticed by the trollers. It is not the first time and more or less it always benefits the film in a commercial way.
Now that the man is bringing a full scale series then the trolling are inevitable. Mind you, it is only the first look clip. There are tons of thing that are yet to be out, including the whole series.
It is going to be a crazy ride but something definitely worth it.
Regardless, what is the noise all about? Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar unveiled its first look and it triggered some users who thought that the man is glorifying prostitution.
Just like ever, Bhansali is showing stories through his opulent style and people are confusing it with glorification.
Also, courtesans are not the same as prostitutes. But it looks like Netflix and Bhansali will have a hard time making people understand this as there is a sort of superimposition in these two professions.
Even after these trollings, the series seems to be reaching the audience and it will be a big help to the makers and Netflix in commercial terms.
