We do not think we have to remind you about Henry Cavill’s love for video games. How about we say that the on-screen Superman is a video game nerd? Whatever may be the case here. But one thing is for sure that he loves them way too much. And he has proved it again by expressing his desire to star in a live-action Warhammer tv series or movie.
Warhammer 40,000 is a game developed and published by Games Workshop. More than 34 years have passed since the game’s release. Still, it is the most prominent miniature wargame in the history of the gaming world. Just ask the gamers from the UK!
Cavill is busy promoting the second season of The Witcher these days. He recently took part in IGN’s interview where he expressed his love for Warhammer: “There are a lot of characters from the Warhammer universe that I want to be. But I can only really be one, because once I’m one, then I can’t be others. So if it were to ever happen, if there were to be anything live-action, I would have to be very aware of that.”
The Witcher Season 2 will stream on Netflix on December 17. Season 1 received a mixed-to-positive response from the critics. But the viewers loved it. More than 75 million viewers enjoyed it within the first month of its release. The streaming service had no alternative but to renew it for a sophomore season.
Back to the subject, Games Workshop has not released any official statement regarding a live-action Warhammer project. The game has a tremendous fanbase in the United Kingdom. And Henry Cavill is the best man to lead the project if it ever happens.
