Robert Zemeckis’ next drama, Here, brings back “Forrest Gump” actors Tom Hanks and Robin Wright as the leading duo. The pair looks digitally de-aged in the movie’s first look images.
Taking inspiration from Richard McGuire’s 2014 novel of the same name, “Here” takes place across decades in a single location. The camera never moves from its position during the entire 104-minute runtime. The movie’s events take place inside a couple’s house. Hanks and Wright portray the central couple. Forrest Gump scribe Eric Roth and Zemeckis wrote the film’s screenplay. Alan Silvestri will take care of the project’s musical score.

Apart from the leading duo, the movie’s cast treasures talents such as Kelly Reilly, Paul Bettany, Michelle Dockery. Gwilym Lee, David Fynn, Jonathan Aris, Ophelia Lovibond, and more.
In his recent interview with Variety, Robert Zemeckis declared “Here” a risky venture. “It’s actually never been done before. There are similar scenes in very early silent movies, before the language of montage was invented. But other than that, yeah, it was a risky venture,” said Zemeckis.
Tom Hanks plays Richard and Robin Wright portrays Margaret, Richard’s teenage girlfriend and eventual wife. Bettany and Reilly play Richard’s parents, Al and Rose, respectively.
Sony Pictures will release “Here” in the US on November 15, 2024. Miramax will take care of the movie’s international release. Stay tuned for more updates.
