Aha Video has expanded its footprint in the South Indian OTT market. The OTT platform, which used to operate only in Telugu till now, has launched a new platform – Aha Tamil. As the title suggests, Aha Tamil caters to the Tamil audience and it will solely have Tamil titles in the content library. Aha held a publicity event in Chennai today to publicize the arrival of Aha Tamil.
Aha Tamil launch event was graced by Anirudh Ravichander and Jayam Ravi and the duo launched the title logo of Aha Tamil. Aha Tamil retains the orange background theme that is reminiscent of that of Aha Video. Allu Aravind, the commander in chief at Aha also attended the event.
Critically acclaimed film, Writer is Aha Tamil’s first outing and the second one is Akash Vaani. Writer is a Tamil language drama film featuring Samuthirakani, Dileepan, and Ineya in the lead roles. As for Akash Vani, the rom-com series has Kavin, Reba Monica John, Sharath Ravi, Vinsa Sam, and others in the lead roles. “A Recently Divorced Couple Has To Pretend To Be Happily Married During A College Reunion With Their Close Friends,” the plot reads.
Speaking at the event, Anirudh Ravichander said “I’m very happy to be a part of the #ahaTamil family. I’m going to be part of their journey. I really enjoy the #UnstoppableWithNBK promos on my Youtube feed. Aha is gonna blast in Tamil too!”
Aha Tamil intends to roll out more Tamil-centric content in the days to follow.
